Orders and customization

How can I personalize my jewelry?

During purchase, you can insert text, upload images or photos, choose symbols, and preview the final result directly on the product page.

Is the preview I see identical to the final product?

The preview is very faithful to the final result. Before engraving, each customization is checked, corrected, and manually positioned by our artisans to optimize space, symmetry, and proportions. Therefore, slight variations may occur due to the artisanal process.

What kind of customizations can I make?

It is possible to engrave texts, dates, initials, symbols, images, photos, signatures, handwriting and fingerprints.

If you don't find the option you want in the configurator, you can contact us to request a custom design.

Are there character limits for engraving?

No, we use state-of-the-art laser engraving technology that allows for even very small fonts. However, very long text may reduce readability.

Do you engrave any content?

Yes, we can accommodate all engraving requests. For special or complex customizations, we recommend contacting us before placing your order.

Writing errors and liability

What happens if I misspell a name or date?

The customer is responsible for the text entered. Please carefully check spelling, capitalization, and spaces before confirming your order.

In any case, if during the manual check we notice a possible obvious error, we will contact you before proceeding with the engraving.

Do you check for spelling mistakes?

No, Impronta Artigiana engraves the text entered by the customer exactly. Final content review is the customer's responsibility.

Can I request a final proof before engraving?

The preview displayed online during setup represents the final draft of the product.

If I don't like the final result, can I change it?

No, personalized jewelry cannot be altered or refunded for personal taste.

Photos, images, signatures and fingerprints

Can I engrave a photo of a person, an animal or a child?

Yes, any type of photo can be engraved.

Are photos with multiple people okay?

Yes, it is also possible to engrave images with multiple subjects.

Are WhatsApp photos or screenshots okay?

Yes, we take care of improving the image quality. In some cases, we may contact you to request the original photo.

Can I engrave a handwritten signature?

Yes, simply upload a photo of the sheet with the signature.

Can I engrave a fingerprint, paw print, or hand print?

Yes, you can upload a photo of your footprint made in ink or on paper.

Should I crop the image or do you do it?

We take care of image optimization. If you use the online editor, you can make an initial crop, but in many cases, we intervene manually to perfectly adapt the design to the chosen jewelry piece.

Is the background engraved?

By default, the background is removed. Upon request, the image background can also be engraved.

Does image quality affect the final result?

Yes, quality does affect the result. In any case, each image is manually checked and optimized by our artisans before engraving.

Size, readability and final result

Will the text be readable even if it is very small?

Yes, we use high-precision laser engraving which guarantees excellent readability even with very small characters.

How big will the engraving be?

The size is automatically adapted to the selected jewel to achieve the best aesthetic balance.

Can I choose the size of the text or image?

Yes, you can preview the size of text and images using the online editor.

Is the engraving visible or is it very light?

The engraving is well marked and visible.

Can the engraving fade over time?

No, laser engraving is permanent and will not fade over time.

Is the engraving visible on gold-colored steel?

Yes, the engraving is very visible on both gold-tone and silver-tone steel.

Text, logos, and stylized images are particularly striking on black jewelry; realistic photos, however, are less appropriate.

Position, front and back

Can I engrave both the front and back?

Yes, it is possible to engrave both sides of the jewel.

Can I choose where to place the text or image?

Yes, you can freely choose the position via the online editor.

Is the text automatically centered?

Yes, the text is automatically centered, but it can be moved manually.

Can I enter multiple lines of text?

Yes, you can enter multiple lines of text.

Can I have curved text?

Only straight text is available online. For special customizations, please contact us directly.

Changes, cancellations and production

Can I change an order after I've placed it?

Changes are only possible until the product has entered production. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible.

Can I cancel a custom order?

Yes, you can cancel your order only if production has not yet begun. Once production has begun, the order can no longer be cancelled.

When does production of my jewelry start?

Production can begin immediately after the order is placed, within a few hours, or the next business day, depending on material availability and workload.

What happens if I don't respond when you contact me for clarification?

If you have any questions about customization, we'll try to contact you several times. Production will be temporarily suspended until we receive your confirmation.

How long does it take to make a custom piece of jewelry?

Most jewelry is made within 1–2 business days.

Are the jewels handcrafted?

Yes, all Impronta Artigiana jewelry is handcrafted in our workshop.

Emergencies and special dates

Can I request urgent processing?

Yes, it is possible to request urgent processing.

If I order for a special date, can you deliver on time?

We always do our best to meet important dates. We recommend specifying your preferred date in the order notes.

Do times change during peak seasons?

Yes, during periods of high demand production times may be slightly longer.

Shipping

Where do you ship from?

We ship from Italy.

Do you also ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide.

How long does delivery take to Italy?

Approximately 24–48 working hours from dispatch.

Which courier do you ship with?

We use Poste Italiane.

Will I receive a tracking code?

Tracking code is provided for express shipments.

Can I return a personalized piece of jewelry?

No, personalized jewelry is non-refundable, as required by the regulations for custom-made products.

What should I do if there is a problem with the product?

You must report it within 24 hours of delivery, sending us a photo of the product.

What happens if you make a mistake?

Once the jewel has been returned for inspection, we will remake the correct product.

What materials do you use?

All Impronta Artigiana jewels are made of stainless steel.

The gold-colored models are made of 18k gold-plated stainless steel.

Is the jewelry hypoallergenic?

Yes, they are nickel-free, hypoallergenic, and waterproof.

How can I take care of my jewelry?

Yes, all jewelry is shipped in a gift box.

Can I insert a personalized message?

Yes, it is possible to include a personalized message in the package.

Is the price visible on the package?

No, the price is never included in the package.

Yes, all customizations are treated with the utmost confidentiality and used exclusively to create your piece of jewelry.

Are uploaded images retained?

No, all uploaded images and files are deleted after the product is made.

Can I reorder the same piece of jewelry in the future?

Yes, it is possible to reorder the same jewel by creating the same graphic again.
